From the 1st October 2008 any property that is to be let MUST have an energy performance certificate BEFORE the property is marketed.

This is exactly the same document that you now have to include in the home information pack when you are selling a property. Tha Landlord or Agent must have this document available to show prospective tenants before they view the property. This document is valid for 10 years.
